JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist provides support and guidance to employees and supervisors in a diverse range of HR specialties, including policy implementation, onboarding, recruitment, payroll, training, worker’s comp, compliance, employment law, 401K, and other administrative functions at Pacific Ag Rentals. This individual will perform in accordance with company policies and follow all state and federal regulations.
Reports to Human Resources Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OPERATIONS:
- Supervises the Payroll Administrator and HR Assistant
- Assists in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, including applicant tracking, interviews, and reference checks
- Oversees the administration of the company’s compensation and benefits plans, including renewals, benefit set-up, open enrollment, employee communication, COBRA, and invoice reconciliation
- Oversees the administration of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and other leave programs including documentation and tracking
- Conducts new hire onboarding and training
- Oversees payroll and provides backup support to Payroll Administrator
- Assists the HR Manager with the development and implementation of human resource policies
- Compiles and prepares data in relation to and preparation of EEO and Affirmative Action reporting plan requirements, CA Pay Data, BLS, and any other government filings
- Assists managers with regard to performance issues and the uniform implementation of the disciplinary process
- Oversees exit interviews and implements proactive measures to improve retention
- Manages and maintains all personnel files in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Assists with annual audits including but not limited to payroll, 401(k), and medical
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization
- Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment

- Must pass a pre-employment drug test, if authorized to drive by HR Manager
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3 – 5 years of Human Resources experience
- At least 2 years of experience with payroll processing
- Associate Degree required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools, and
payroll software - Knowledge of Paylocity payroll system preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Bilingual Spanish/English
