Uses independent judgment to oversee all aspects of sales and customer service at assigned specific branch. Ensures excellent customer service through the timely and accurate delivery of services, including delivery on rental orders and the management of price negotiations and quotes. Resolves customer issues, referring them to the Sales Manager, when appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


– Use Company provided systems/tools to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner. Use of the system should contribute directly to the proposal process, winning the sale, volume, territory awareness, participation, and customer satisfaction
– Effectively understand and use manufacturers? programs and resources to attain acceptable market share levels
– Sell whole-goods, parts, and service as a customer solution and build long term relationships within their territory to maximize customer and company profitability
– Develop a keen awareness of the competition and competitive products, as well as business and industry trends.

Customer Service:

– Processes customer orders and quotes, resolves negotiations and issues
– Monitors fulfillment of rental orders to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
– Assures the PAR and Star rentals are serviced or replaced quickly in the event of a breakdown or other problem Coordinate and/or conduct field demonstrations as well as operate machinery at customer work site
– Maintain strong knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
– Work in conjunction with Sales Manager, responsible for follow-up and expediting of whole good orders
– Accountable for timely follow up on each sale to ensure customer satisfaction
– Coordinate and/or communicate with customers and applicable departments to ensure timely delivery
– Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment as needed

General Requirements:

– Establishes and maintains effective channels of communications with management, co workers, vendors and all other business contacts
– Ensures the use of equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, following established safety procedures, using appropriate safeguards, and observing common sense rules of safety in all on the job activities
– Conducts self in a manner reflecting credit on PAR and Star and encourages others to do the same
– Is organized, independent and self motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, detail oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization, and driven by excellence
– Directs tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities to ensure positive outcomes
– Demonstrates proficient written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar and business correspondence
– Class C driver’s license
– Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts
– Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
– Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Pacific Ag Rentals
– Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
– Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner


Education and/or Experience:

– At least 5 years of experience in a similar work environment with a proven track record of effective decision-making and excellent people management skills
– Solid understanding of local market conditions
– Knowledge of resale values of particular machinery a plus
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

Computer Skills:

– Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite

Language Skills:

– Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing

Mathematical Skills:

– Ability to apply math concepts to practical situations

Reasoning Ability:

– Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

– Work time is split between the office, shop and yard in a variety of weather
– Regular time is spent on the computer and phone
– Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
