Pacific Ag Rentals is a “Farmer Owned” tractor rental company, headquartered in Salinas, CA, with branches in Colusa, Fall River Mills, Stockton, Brawley, Bakersfield, Five Points as well as Yuma, AZ and Pelham, GA. Our goal is to provide agricultural tractors and implements to the vegetable and fruit/nut growers of the United States. We have rented equipment as far east as the Atlantic Coast and as far  north and south as Washington and Mexico. Our rental fleet is comprised of over 3000 pieces of equipment from all the brands you trust, like John Deere, Challenger, New Holland, Case IH, Kubota, Harlo, Massey Ferguson, Rome, Domries, Ag Leader, PAW, Wilcox and so much more. We feel these brands are rental worthy, built to last and will hold up to the most rigorous of challenges. We work hard to keep you going by providing you with only the latest model equipment backed by an easy exchange policy should a problem arise with your rental. A letter from our president…

Pacific Ag Rentals (PAR) comes from humble beginnings back in January of 2001 when we started with our first 2 John Deere tractors on my Dad’s kitchen table in Salinas, CA. With investments from local farmers and growers, we were able to grow PAR quickly to meet the increasing rental demand that has not stopped. 

My father, Charlie Walker, came from the hills of Tennessee and landed in Salinas, CA in the late 60’s. One of his first jobs was a Salesman at a local tractor company called Farmers Mercantile. Tractor sales were very slow in the early 80’s and my Dad came up with the idea to rent tractors to farmers and growers in the Salinas Valley, something unheard of until that point. My Dad then went on to start his first Equipment Rental business in the late 80’s called Salinas Equipment Distributors (SED), along with his brother, Billy Walker. They both worked hard at growing the business and expanded into the major growing areas of California and Arizona. A local John Deere Dealer became interested in their successful business and Charlie sold SED to them in the late 90’s. My Father has always built his relationships with a firm handshake and the pride to do the right thing “all of the time”. My father’s legacy still lives on through our company’s handshake as we continue the tradition of working hard alongside the farmer to help them be profitable and more efficient at what they do. The best fertilizer for a crop is the farmers shadow, we want the farmer out in the filed doing what they do best while we take care of what we do best and provide them with quality equipment to meet their needs at affordable prices and exceptional service.

Today we have over 4,000 pieces of equipment and have facilities in 9 States. Our growth has been organic and each rental is earned one-handshake at a time using the great concept of renting what you need for the time you need it at a price that is affordable.

Renting vs. purchasing saves money by allowing the grower to use the equipment only during the peak season and return it. Renting also has great tax advantages. Built into our rental program is our “Rental Purchase” option, where we will apply a generous portion of your rental money towards the purchase price should you decide to buy it. Over the years we have developed a great reputation for taking good care of our equipment. You can rest assured that should you decide to purchase a piece of equipment from us, that it has been well maintained and is in exceptional working order.

Our rental lines include a large selection of John Deere tractors, Fendt tractors, Kubota and New Holland high clearance tractors, Harlo rough terrain forklifts, 2000 and 4000 gallon water trucks, booster pumps, light towers, RTVs, heavy tillage equipment and much more. Our Rental Line now includes Ag-Centric Construction Equipment including graders, dozers, skid steers, front loaders and backhoes. 

Pacific Ag Rentals is also an authorized dealer for Harlo rough terrain field forklifts, Liftmaster bin dumpers, GPS guidance technology, and Wilcox tillage equipment. Our tillage department stocks a massive selection of discs, points, bearings, cylinders, shanks, bars or whatever you need to keep your tillage equipment up and running. Our tillage knowledge and experience will help you save time and money in getting the best fit at the best possible price, and we deliver!

We also carry ag technology that we rent and service with our Tech Team. We carry automated cultivating machines from Stout and are the Dealer for Robovator. Both systems use camera technology to identify weeds and cultivates between plants while the Stout also has the ability to thin and smart spray. Pacific Ag Rentals is also the Dealer and manufacturer of Mulchmaster mulchers.
