JOB SUMMARY

The Service Writer will use independent judgment to physically inspect inbound and outbound equipment at assigned Pacific Ag Rentals branch. The Service Writer will ensure excellent service to both external and internal customers (i.e.– Service Manager, Shop Supervisor, Invoicing Supervisor, etc.) through the timely and accurate delivery of equipment condition information, including missing, broken or damaged parts on outgoing or incoming equipment. The Service Writer will also receive, gather information and communicate external customers’ needs for field equipment repairs, referring them first to the Service Manager, Transportation Director, then to the sectional Vice-President, when appropriate. Reports to Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OPERATIONS:

  • Physically inspects inbound and outbound equipment
  • Takes digital photos of inbound and outbound equipment and inputs, organizes and manages images in the computer system
  • Ensures that in-house labor and replacement costs are captured and entered so that proper invoicing can occur

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Timely monitors equipment check-in and check-out procedures to ensure equipment inventory is accurate
  • Actively and aggressively looks for missing, broken or damaged equipment to help lower business costs
  • Communicates with customers in either written or verbal forms in a clear, professional and efficient manner
  • Assures that customer field service needs are quickly, effectively and seamlessly handled
  • Processes customer orders and quotes as related to equipment rentals, expertly resolves negotiations and issues

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Bilingual English / Spanish
  • Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing

JOB SUMMARY

The Shop Mechanic Tier 3 will use independent judgment and mechanical aptitude to work in the shop repairing rental equipment and maintaining rental equipment at assigned Pacific Ag Rentals branch.   • Expertly identifies, makes required repair parts list and quickly repairs various rental equipment including, but not limited to tractors, agricultural water pumps, large electrical generators, light towers, etc.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the shop, warehouse and vehicles, make deliveries and pick-ups and work in the field service area maintaining equipment at customer locations
  • Ensures that in-house labor and replacement costs are captured and entered via work order system so that proper invoicing can occur
  • Ability to mentor and train Mechanics Tier 1 and Tier 2
  • Repairs are 20% added to book time

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Timely monitors equipment repair in shop
  • Actively and aggressively looks for missing, broken or damaged equipment to help lower business costs
  • Communicates with supervisor and other mechanics about shop questions or needs in either written or verbal form in a clear, professional and efficient manner

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Comfortable and willing to move/use equipment such as, but not limited to, forklifts, large tractors, water trucks, RTVs, Jacks, etc.
  • Repair body panels, hoods and lights
  • Able to change tires and perform oil changes on equipment
  • Change seals, rings, belts, blades and oil
  • Ability to do identify mid-level electrical diagnostics and hydraulic problems for repair
  • Be able to fuel equipment
  • Ability to rebuild drivetrain

JOB SUMMARY

The Shop Mechanic will use independent judgment and mechanical aptitude to work in the shop repairing rental equipment and maintaining rental equipment at assigned Pacific Ag Rentals branch. The Shop Mechanic will ensure excellent service to both external and internal customers (i.e. - Service Manager, Shop Supervisor, Invoicing Supervisor, etc.) through the timely and accurate repair of equipment, including communicating missing, broken or damaged parts on outgoing or incoming equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

Operations:

- Physically inspects and fills out equipment inspection forms for equipment returned from rent. - Expertly identifies, makes required repair parts list and quickly repairs various rental equipment including, but not limited to tractors, agricultural water pumps, large electrical generators, light towers, etc. - Assist in the maintenance of the shop, warehouse and vehicles. Make deliveries and pick-ups and work in the field service area maintaining equipment at customer locations. - Ensures that in-house labor and replacement costs are captured and entered via work order system so that proper invoicing can occur.

Customer Service:

- Timely monitors equipment repair in the shop. - Actively and aggressively looks for missing, broken or damaged equipment to help lower business costs. - Communicates with supervisor and other mechanics about shop questions or needs in either written or verbal form in a clear, professional and efficient manner.

General Requirements:
